Job Description & Responsbilities


  1. Work closely with key business stakeholders to identify business challenges, extract actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence the direction of business process.
  2. Drive MVP (Minimum Viable Product) Analysis, explore big data from database through programming to support analysis simulation needs; Using statistical/ machine learning models to solve complex business issues.
  3. Foster stakeholder engagement by constantly feedback data analysis findings to drive new ideas and ensure value is being delivered.
  4. Deep diving the linkage of cross function data KPIs to identify the key drivers for efficiency improvement and value creation.
  5. Support enterprise level data analysis capability & culture buildings through insights sharing, analysis skill coaching, and best practise rollout.
  6. Build data infrastructure necessary for the development of predictive models and more sophisticated data analysis.
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or above, and >=5 years’ experience on data science or data analysis.
  2. Knowledge of a variety of machine learning & statistical techniques (clustering, decision tree, random forest, regression, etc.)
  3. Skilful in SQL/ Python, experienced in database modelling and BI tools.
  4. Experience in FMCG or retail industry, is a plus.
  5. Fluent English is preferred.


Competency Requirements

  1. Extensive experience in database, reporting, and advanced analytics platforms - Python, R, SQL, MATLAB and etc. Not necessarily at data scientist level, but hands-on experience in tuning, interpreting, and presenting modeling/analytics methodology and output to business, e.g. regression, clustering, random forest, Monte Carlo. 
  2. Articulate, with excellent communication, presentation, and written skills. Fast learner with a willing attitude. Intellectually rigorous, with strong analytical skills and excellent insight finding skills.
  3. Familiar with FMCG digital solutions and analytics trend. Combine 3rd party data and internal data to understand industry and company performance and deliver insight for strategy making.
  4. Proactive problem solver with innovative thinking with a strong sense of teamwork.
  5. Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  6. Familiarity with technical infrastructure that supports the business processes for the dataset(s)
