Responsibility:

Policy analysis and advocacy

  • Monitor and analyses Chinese gov. policies related to Danone business;
  • Develop Danone policy pressure house and identify the strategic and annual key policy topics for Danone business;
  • Develop the regular and ad hoc policy analysis report, update, advocacy document regarding Danone business, including China Watch etc.;
  • Implement the policy analysis and sharing for the business unit and help the business to gain deep understanding;
  • Define and implement the lobbying strategy to influence stakeholders for Danone business;
  • Leading the participation with the key trade associations for Danone’s policy advocacy;

Stakeholders engagements

  • Identify and build close connections with key associations including CAEFI, CCPIT, CBIA, EUCCC, etc.;
  • Develop the strategy and annual plan for the engagements with these key external stakeholders, and explore the opportunities for the deep collaboration with them;
  • Explore the opportunities for Danone business leaders to engage with the external stakeholders;

Corporate Message Development & Management

  • Lead the overall development and management of corporate message
  • Management of messages of senior corporate leaders for internal and external communications.

As an enabler from CA team to support Danone business

  • Build close connections with CBU and related functions of CBS including RA, Legal, Finance, ISIT etc.
  • As the expert of the policies regarding Danone’s business in GA function to be a close partner of CBUs;
  • Coordinate the internal communication and alignment with CBUs to establish one voice for the policy shaping;
  • Join Danone global PA/Communications call to keep close communication with global team. 

Requirement:
  • Minimum 8 years as a government affair professional with an MNC in China, food industry and APAC GA background is preferred;
  • Significant expertise in government affairs mandatory, or five years+ working history in related authorities;
  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, business administration, public policy or other relevant fields.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication and interpersonal skills. Be able to proactively advance legal and policy positions through high impact external engagement in small and/or large group settings, including communications with high-level government officials, influencers.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and execute public policy programs that support business growth and policy objectives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members across functions and geographies;
  • Self-driven individual with ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and make good decisions in the face of uncertainty;
