Job Description & Responsbilities

Lead and drive the “Global/ Local Science for Chinese Consumers/HCPs” on human milk research. Drive innovations with professional input with nutrition science. Build up strong scientific credibility of Danone Specialized Nutrition in China.


The Human Milk Research Scientist is responsible for design, execution and interpret researches linking maternal and child nutrition, human milk composition and the impacts on maternal and child health outcomes aligning with cooperate strategy. He or she will be responsible for networking with internal and external human milk research experts, leveraging scientific value of human milk research been correctly communicated, and maintaining relationship with top KOLs.

• To coordinate the conduct of trials including the design, initiation, overall progress and reporting on human milk composition, feeding practice and the relationship with maternal and infant health aligning with cooperate strategy (Human Milk Research experience 1)

• Lead and coordinate data analysis and interpretations linking from human milk composition, infant feeding practise, and maternal/infant health outcomes with good nutrition knowledge (2) align with global strategy.

• Closely connecting with internal/global experts (HMR and Gut microbiology, etc ), facilitate global – China collaboration to maximize HMR network value, drive for publications and IPs.

• Responsible for external expert management (3), includes results interpretation, research publications and scientific evidence communication and education.

• To manage and maintain good relationship with external KOLs, collages, institutions, and academic bodies.

• Responsible for monitoring up to date studies and publications on human milk and evaluate the impacts and reactions, feeding back to Danone human milk study strategy.

• Transfer generated science evidence to consumer language together with cross-functional teams.


Requirement:

       At least 3 years of experience in human nutrition research, experience in human milk research is an advantage.

       Good academic writing skills, experience in compromising human nutrition research proposal, publications in international peer review journals.

       Good presentation skills, being able to represent Danone in academic seminars and conferences.

       Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to interact with internal and external parties involved.

       Good sense of commercial needs, industry research position experience in an advantage.

       Master, MD or PhD degree in a life science, nutrition, public health or related scientific discipline.

       Fluent in English

       Preferably professional experience in the area of maternal & child healthcare nutrition.

       To be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and international environment with competing priorities.
