Position Objective 岗位目标
- The Sr. Nutrition & Science Manager provides strong Nutrition, Health and Scientific expertise to Danone Beverage China. The role supports the development, localization and execution of nutrition & health strategies and Danone nutrition policies, scientific communication and capability building, ensuring scientific credibility, regulatory alignment and business relevance across product innovation, renovation and portfolio management.
 
Responsibilities 岗位职责
1. Nutrition & Health Strategy and Scientific Insights
- Lead the monitoring, analysis and interpretation of public health, nutrition science and consumer health trends relevant to China beverage market
- Translate scientific evidence, dietary guidelines and emerging research into clear, actionable insights to support business strategy and product pipeline
- Provide forward-looking nutrition & health recommendations to guide portfolio strategy, claims direction and long-term innovation opportunities
2. Product Innovation, Renovation & Scientific Substantiation
- Support early-stage idea generation of new product innovation and renovation projects from a nutrition & health perspective
- Define nutritional product criteria and health-related design principles for beverages
- Build and continuously update knowledge on functional ingredients, new food materials and their application in beverage formulation
- Prepare and review scientific and nutrition documentation for products and ingredients
3. Nutrition Labeling & Claim Support
- Lead nutrition label design in alignment with Chinese regulations and Danone standards
- Coordinate nutrition label validation activities within R&D and cross-functional teams
- Provide scientific and nutrition input to support regulatory review, claim substantiation and compliance
4. External Scientific Engagement & Thought Leadership
- Lead external scientific activities in China, including expert engagement, academic collaboration and scientific partnerships
- Build and manage scientific agenda aligned with Danone global and China nutrition priorities
- Organize and represent the company in external scientific events, conferences, workshops and expert roundtables
- Maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders (nutrition experts, academic institutions, industry associations)
5. Internal Nutrition Education & Capability Building
- Develop and deliver internal nutrition & health training programs for cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Sales, etc.)
- Act as internal subject-matter expert on nutrition science, functional ingredients and health-related topics
- On behalf of DBC to support Danone nutrition week, etc. nutrition & education activities.
6. Scientific Communication & Credibility Support
- Support development of science-based communication materials for internal and external use
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and scientific credibility of nutrition & health messages across channels
- Act as key scientific spokesperson internally when needed

Competency Requirements 能力素质要求
1. Strong scientific thinking and ability to translate science into business-relevant insights
2. Strong FMCG business sense and insight
3. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
4. Solid knowledge of nutrition and science, functional ingredients and China public health
5. Good understanding of Chinese nutrition and food regulations
6. Experience in scientific communication, and expert engagement
7. Experience working in a matrix and cross-functional organization
 
Position requirement / Critical experience 岗位工作经验要求
1. Master degree or above in Nutrition, Food Science or related discipline ( Registered Dietitian preferred)
2. 5–10 years of working experience in nutrition, science, regulatory or related roles within food or beverage industry
