Geographical perimeter: Mainland China with different channels

With 1 team member to be managed locally.

JOB MISSION

His/her role is to be responsible to support on developing effective forecast models, consolidation between China cross-function (sales/marketing/finance), meanwhile with Supply Chain in France for all planning related topics:

Align the demand in the system based on the business reality.

In direct collaboration with local distributor(s) or Danone internal stakeholders.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Demand planning

1/ Support on Co build - Sales Forecast:

-        Perform past sales analysis & define baseline, co-build solid M+3 forecast plan.

-        Commercial & Marketing plan impact estimation vs baseline

-        Follow and improve forecast accuracy (country and channel level)

-        Challenge depletions forecast

-        Monitor & perform Trader shipment forecast analysis

 

2/ Animate local forecast process (GPS)

-        Monthly meeting with Sales & Finance team to review month result & YTG forecast

-        Argue to align everyone on the most accurate figure

-        Follow gap between latest forecast & business target, investigate and explain on the variations

 

Supply planning

1/ Supply and Replenishment management

-        Manage replenishment weekly with central supply team(production/shipment) ensure reasonable local inventory levels

-        Define and maintain relevant local inventory policy

-        Plan product switches and launches according to marketing plans

-        Liaise with distributor to get stock reports and improve overall efficiency

-        Monitor stock variation (vs forecast, Operations constraints) and avoid OOS at any cost

-        Secure weekly system updates (stock/forecast/in-transit) and be able to explain variations

 

2/ Stock Management

-        Liaise with distributor to improve overall efficiency

-        Monitor stock variation (vs forecast, Operations constraints) and avoid OOS at any cost

-        Provide most updated picture on stock into internal Danone system

 

KPI

-        Demand (Forecast Accuracy, bias)

-        Supply (PPED factory/local level)

-        Stock (OOS rate, stock level)

-        Customer service level (in collaboration with CS team)

 

Projects

-        Central forecasting transformation, new tool implementation

-        GPS continued transformation, simplification and optimization

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Full time availability

3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related role.

Experience with demand planning software and statistical analysis tools.

(in FMCG company preferred)
