Job Description & Responsbilities

The Tax Analyst is accountable for providing the tax management to CBUs in Great China, including tax and transfer pricing compliance and planning.  He/she supports in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, assist in tax filings, and contributes to the optimization of tax strategies while developing a strong foundation in tax practices.  Under guidance and supervision, he/she assists in value-added tax planning.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Tax and Transfer Pricing (TP) Reporting

  • Execute and support external tax reporting for CBUs in Greater China (GC), including regular tax filing and operation tasks, foreign payment tax application, tax preferential treatment application, etc.
  • Execute and support internal tax reporting, forecast and analysis, as well as tax provision for CBUs in GC.
  • Support routine TP documentation and assist in ad-hoc TP / benchmark studies for CBUs in GC with guidance.

Tax and TP Planning and Projects

  • Research and provide basic tax analysis
  • Support day-to-day tax related advisory, tax planning projects and tax risks management to CBUs in GC with guidance.

 

Tax Audit / Relationship with Authorities

  • Maintain relationship with tax authorities / related government departments.
  • Assist in inquiries and investigations for legal entities in GC with guidance.

 

Internal Control / Governance

  • Ensure proper and organized documentation tax records and documentation.
  • Prepare and refresh tax position papers, SOPs to document tax positions and work processes.
  • Keep updated internal control procedures and provide documentation for DanGo.

 

Coordination / Others

  • Assist and coordinate in tax-related matters and cross-function tasks as needed.
  • Other tax administrative tasks, including branch set-up, external and internal tax / system operations, etc.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor or above degree, preferably with finance, accounting tax, law majors.
  • At least 2 years tax working experience.  Big 4 experience is a plus, CPA or CTA is a plus.
  • Good command of English in writing and speaking.
  • Good communication skills and team-work spirit.
  • Attention to details, and good numerical and financial analysis skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with drive, passion and high integrity.  Outgoing and open-minded.
  • Fast learner and committed to excellence.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
