Job Description: ELN Medical Channel Risk Control Manager (L9)

We are looking for a talent in pre risk control in the pharmaceutical or fast-moving consumer goods industry to join our company. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify risks, build systems, and manage teams in conducting spot inspection on promotional activities, healthcare system (HCS) meeting and events as well as expenditure  and reimbursement audits. He/she will be able to play a key role in planning, organizing, coordinating, and handling the work of the outsourced flight inspection team and expenditure validation team. This position requires strong organizational skills, analytical abilities, audit mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create and Lead the In-process Execution Inspection & Post-check work system and toolkit:

Establish an inspection management system, develop team operation standards, service standards, and other inspection processes and ratings.

Create checklists, online patrol systems, real-time remote inspections, and achieve digital tracking of inspection results and closed-loop tracking of issues.

Cross departmental communication of inspection plans, coordinating annual, monthly, and quarterly inspection plans

  1. In-process Execution (flight) Inspection:

Organize and coordinate outsourced service provider to conduct spot checks on high-risk areas or activities to proactively identify potential compliance issues. These checks should focus on key processes, execution status, such as HCP participation, promotional materials, and interactions with third-party suppliers.

 Provide inspection report support for compliance monitoring plans to ensure effective execution of activities or projects and alignment with organizational goals and regulatory expectations.

  1. Expenditure & Reimbursement Post-Check:
    • Conduct compliance post-checks to review completed transactions, activities, or interactions to ensure they align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Identify any discrepancies and recommend remediation steps.

4.      Data Interpretation and Trend Analysis:

Analyze data to identify trends and patterns that may indicate potential risks or areas of concern. Use these insights to guide inspection activities and inform senior stakeholders about key findings and recommendations.

Develop the ability to perform root cause analysis for identified issues. Work closely with teams to address underlying problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  1. Data Analytics and Process Improvement:

Enhance data analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from large datasets generated by various monitoring programs. Use these insights to strengthen controls, improve processes, and increase compliance awareness across the organization.

Develop risk monitoring dashboard or platform to visualize the data analytics insights and inspection findings and ensure close-loop remediation and tracking on the related insights and findings within an unified platform.

6.      Stakeholder Collaboration

 Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, audit, and business units, to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.

Timely feedback and identify issues with business management, communicate solutions and adjustment suggestions to promote excellent project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or above in accounting, audit, business, IT or a related field; advanced certification in compliance or risk management is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, spot check and audit, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or a reputable accounting firm serving pharmaceutical or healthcare line of business.
  • Solid understanding of global and regional healthcare regulations, particularly those governing interactions with HCPs and HCOs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong professional experience conducting compliance post-checks and spot checks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical/professional information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent resource management and collaboration capability in planning, organizing and execution of project-based tasks with internal and external teams.
